Looking for some opinions......How many reps are needed to successfully wholesale a territory?  Just throwing numbers out there...300, 500, 700?  The total number is after weeding out the reps that don't do our business.  Private Placements to accredited investors only. 

 

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Hey Vandal,

Depends on my things:

Factors: How sweet the deal is.

How hot the industry is

Commission

Macro enviorment

How established the sponsor is.

How many confrences you have sponsored

Marketing material.

Track record of returns of sponsor...

Some reps will just do 25k many can do a few Mill.  Can you give more info?

I know I didn't provide much detail.  I guess what I'm looking for is "in general".  Let's assume that the sponsor has competitive product as it's based on taking advantage of the current distressed real estate environment.  Conservative product structure with a healthy commission and a good track record.  Newer sponsor with adequate marketing material.  

An experienced 20+ years wholesaler advised me that you need at least 500.  Just thought I'd reach out to more people to see what they thought.

Vandal,

Sure at least 500.  Very few brokers do Alt investments and fewer of those have any power to move good product.  Out of those 500 you'll be lucky to get 40 to write for you and of those 20-10 will do any real numbers.
